Looking to relocate to Fort Worth Texas, need info on good neighborhood for young couples with kids?

I’m Young married and have 2 Kids, my son is 7yrs old and my daughter 16 months old. We’re looking at moving to Fort Worth, TX and want a good, safe neighborhood but we’re a young couple so we want a city with a good night life also. Are there any amusement parks near Fort Worth and is Dallas a close drive to Fort Worth?

Fort Worth has a very different feel from Dallas. Only about 25 miles or so in between, but worlds apart. The main amusement park is Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. Also located near the Texas Rangers stadium and the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. Your son might appreciate that. As for neighborhoods and schools – North Ft Worth is very good. The Keller ISD and Northwest ISD are both good. A growing area is the Alliance corridor. Lots of future growth there. check out http://www.alliancetexas.com My wife and I are in real estate in this area and have a ton of info to offer. If you want more details, please contact me and I will be happy to add to your area knowledge. You will be very happy with the cost of housing here!

    Good areas….

-Arlington city limits, south western part of the city. About 25 miles to Dallas, about 10 miles to Ft. Worth. 5-10 to Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor.

-Fort Worth city limits, south western part of the city… about 40 miles to dallas, 25 to amusement parks in Arlington.

-Of the suburbs, I would suggest areas around Lake Grapevine. Get a map. Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, North Richland Hills, Flower Mound, Coppell, Carollton, Farmers Branch, Hurst, Bedford, Euless, Keller.

I can tell you where not to move, if you want that too, I think that may be more important!

    Ft. Worth rocks :)

    Some good neighborhoods are:

-Tanglewood neighborhood (near a good elementary school)
-Berekely/Park Hill (where I live, lots of kids and very safe)
-Mira Vista (very safe and upscale and expensive. a gated community)
-There are lots of good neighborhoods near TCU
-Fort Worth in general is pretty safe. You’ll find a good place easily :)

And Six Flags is about a 30-45 minute drive from Ft. Worth. There’s also an NRH20 and a new waterpark at the Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas.

fort worth proper, near TCU. in between interstates 20 and 30 is all safe, and safe to go west of I30. i probably wouldn’t bother with anything south of 20 though…
